Food Traveler Magazine Names Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail America’s Best BBQ
One of the largest culinary and travel magazines in the country identified four of America’s Best BBQ scenes including the Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail.

The Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail continues a smoking summer – achieving recognition for the quality of the barbecue experience at the various BBQ joints via social and now in print. Food Traveler, one of the largest culinary magazines by distribution in the U.S.A. named the Great Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail one of “America’s Best BBQ”. The new trail is the only Texas destination recognized.

“We know that summer is the season for firing up the grill and grabbing your favorite case of brew. It’s the time when sweat is welcomed, when rain ruins the party, and when marinades come out to play. So, for all you BBQ fanatics out there, we’ve found several award-winning destinations that are sure to please your taste buds and make for an awesome summer vacation along the way.” Food Traveler Summer 2015.

“This is fantastic recognition of the quality of our barbecue experience here on the Coastal Bend,” said Anthony Cordo, Director of Explore Victoria. “Barbecue in the Victoria Region is among the best-rated online in the entire country, and getting designated ‘Americas Best BBQ’ further establishes our barbecue as the rising star among Texas’ culinary experiences.”

The Great Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail is a fun, inexpensive experience to get immersed in Texas’ food history. It includes stops at seven award-winning barbecue joints, itineraries that promote Texas history, date nights and a night on the town. People who go to at least three of the seven barbecue joints can redeem their receipts for a free Great Coastal Texas Barbecue Trail t-shirt at the Explore Victoria Visitor Center. The trail starts online at CoastalTexasBarbecue.com.
